CSC Exhaust info?

Daily Driver
Hi all! Just been out for a evening cruise in the X1/9, however after getting back home realised my ears are really ringing (don't laugh)

. I must have done a round trip of 50 miles and this is the first time since fitting a CSC exhaust that I have realised that the droning in the car's cabin is really bad. The question I want to ask is have I made a wrong decision buying this exhaust system as I have bought the full system including manifold and single bore pipe? Or is there a way of reducing the droning in the cabin? I look forward to some comments. Before I go completely deaf!!!

Resonance

Yup you found what I hate when you change the Exhaust System on the X

There is a band around 3200 rpm to about 3800 rpm that will leave you with a head ace. This is due to the engine, stroke, rpm, what ever. This is why when it came time to making and exhaust system for my car I was ready to and forced to install 2 Magnaflow chambered mufflers. Straight through pipes will not accomplish reducing the resonance. You must stay either above or below that RPM range. I have driven on the highway in 4th rather than 5th to avoid it for 50 miles.

I will post a link or two to my Utube channel.

Similar experience...

I changed out the Scorp's exhaust because of this kind of noise. The exhaust it came to me with is a 4-2-1 header and straight-through, possibly unbaffled muffler. I managed to purchase a stock system and am much happier.
