That’s funny. Mine only has 1974 and 1975 highlighted. Your page has all of them but 1973. That’s one problem. Second problem is everyone on this forum has said that my 128 is not a 1973 according to bumpers, interior, lights etc. like the paperwork say soooo I don’t know whether to follow up on 1974 or 1975 since those are my only 2 options anyways haha.

This is the number stamped. Not sure how to figure it out. I’ve googled all kinds of sites and I can’t find anything.

A 1975 should be pretty close. There weren’t huge changes between those years. There were signficant changes prior to that for emissions controls.

You should be able to identify if it is correct.

The factory manuals have a good sized wiring diagram. You should be able to find one for sale by putting up a request here, at Mira or on Ebay. The factory manuals are quite good.

Thanks a lot for the help ! I’m going by the 1975 wiring diagram and so far so good. Cable colors seem to be matching kind of. Not 100% sure. The page is very old and somewhat faded. I have to zoom in 80% to read it. Oh yeah, did I mention this is my first time reading a wiring diagram and this is what I’m working with haha.

Oh my

Yea, you're not supposed to look at your wiring like that. Kind of like undergoing intestinal surgery and having the surgeon say "hey you want to look at your guts while I have it all exposed?"

You might be tempted to make a wiring board to have the harness arrayed as it would be in the car.

Yes I noticed that when it was past too late haha I don’t have a board but I do have a nice big carpet haha

Yeah I believe the 75 is different from 76. I’m following the diagram but a lot of colorss and amount of wiring per plug do not match. I wish someone could upload the schematic.

Not to mention there isn’t a legend that shows what each symbol means. I’ve looked up fiat scheme legend but they’re different. This is a real brain teaser.

As I suggested, looking for some reference material would be a good thing to do.

As it happens on Ebay there are a variety of good resources available right now. If you bought them, used them and then resold them you would have a net no cost use of a resoucre. You could also send them to Brad at Mira and he would scan them and then send them back to you so the next person who comes along could have access, then you could resell them on eBay. Just a thought.

I can offer some photos from a Haynes manual in case that helps. Was able to zoom in on my phone and read everything.

I have a copy of the 1976-78 wiring diagrams manual that Karl linked to. The '76 diagrams are broken up into several pages so I'll try to sit down and scan them all sometime this week. I've always found the Haynes manual to be pretty accurate for a '76 as well.

Wow that’s awesome! Greatly appreciate it !

Here are the pages relevant to the '76 Sedan. This manual breaks the wiring up a bit, rather than the complete vehicle view like in the Haynes manual. A couple of the pages were multi-fold which required a few scans.

Hello to everybody, greetings from Greece.

I would like to ask you...

Before 2 years i bought a FIAT 128 1976 with a 1300 Ritmo engine and 5th gearbox. Before a few days i swap the engine with a 1500 Ritmo with a hotter camshaft. I use the 32 dmtr weber for now. What setup you suggest? What exhaust type (diameter) and what weber type? The car is slower than the 1300 engine with the 32 dmtr and the old exhaust type.

Thank you
