RPM in Relation to Gear (5spd) and Road Speed

you have to pull all the gut's out of the cluster (remove, pull the face off, remove the tac from the plasic.) I drilled a hole in my housing so I can adjust the pot without dissambling the entire cluster (still have to pull it though)

Many thanks for the tip, Rod!

I did just that, minor adjustment to the pot. and now the tach is keeping pace quite nicely :D

so what is the Red LED for ?shift light?

I keep thinking about doing that instrument cluster mod.

The little red LED is connected to the EZK knock sensor circuit - it is supposed to pulse if there are knock events. It pulses when cranking, so I know the circuit is viable. However, I've yet to have any knock events recorded in the diagnostics, even after 3+ HG failures due to knock. Don't know if its just the sensor location. There are no error codes for missing signal, etc.

Xweb is gaining popularity. We now have a real rock star legend as one of our members. Although I thought he was dead, apparently he is like Elvis and actually among us. Hello Jim Morrison:

Lol - I think we had this conversation before - that phase didn’t last very long - moved to NY & I went “New Wave” pretty shortly after that - used to get in to many NYC nightclubs for free with that look :D
