It's been many, many years since I've had anything with the DOHC engine. So I can not remember this. I believe the stock carb's that came on 124's had a different mounting pattern (bolt pattern) than the carb'ed X1/9 (SOHC)? In other words, the carbs are not physically interchangeable between the two engines (with factory manifolds), correct? Assuming this is all correct, does anyone happen to have a 124 carb manifold that can be measured for me? I'm looking for the carb mounting bolt pattern, and the size (length and width) of the oval opening (throat) where the carb fits on the manifold. Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.
