I have a set of Stil Auto wheels. One is slightly bent and has a small crack. Anybody know a shop that can repair this type of wheel?

I had my Daytonas professionally restored by an alloy wheel guy by the name of Barry here in Albuquerque several years ago. I will have to look up the information, but he was in the phone book under wheel repair.

Whats a phone book?:) That would be great to find a local guy.

That is traditional speak for "get on your smart phone and search for 'alloy wheel repair-albuquerque'". I am sure you will get a complete listing. That is what I did at the time. It is called "researching" the problem.

Yeah like I'm not smart enough to try that? I didn't come up with anyone except the place Mechanogeek suggested.
The reason I posted here was not because I'm lazy but because I haven't had any luck and I was hoping some here had experience with a good shop. I appreciate the suggestions I've gotten especially about ye old wheel shop.
Anyway thanks for the name "Barry" I'll just google that and go from there.

talk to someone at a local body shop you trust. wheel repairs go hand-in-hand with autobody damage from accidents. They will have a local source that can assist you.

O.K. Here is the information from several years ago. He could have moved on, but it may be a start. My Daytonas had some serious needs and he got them perfect when he was done. They knew how to work with true historic magnesium wheels, too.

But it looks like the only current wheel repair rep is in Santa Fe.

So I guess Barry did move on. Too bad, he had a Scorpian with some wheels that he was going to do for himself at the time.

Most of the shops that "won't do vintage wheels" are mainly not wanting to work on old mag (magnesium-alloy) wheels due to the extra care/skill/time needed to repair them. Your Stil Auto's are most likely aluminum-alloy, not magnesium, so there shouldn't be much of an issue repairing one. If this shop is local to you, you might try just taking the damaged wheel in hand to them & saying you want it fixed. Leave out the "vintage" part. ;)
