i was in the market for a while to look for an electronic upgrade for my coupe.. last week bought this cheap box:

it was in sale @26,.. GBP, say 35 USD or 28 eu less or more; fitted today (few minutes job, just 4 wires to be connected), and went out for a ride.. real impressive difference! the car acelerates quickly then before, nice throttle response, but the best is the capability to run in third gear without the engine that knock for pre-ignition (dont know the word in english.. we say "picchiare in testa" = knock on head..) on an hill when i was forced to downshift in second before..
i also fitted "resistor coil" type leads (looks like electronic ignitions dont like copper core leads) and a set of bosh platinum s.plugs
dont know yet for the fuel mileage..must drive the thing for a while to see if there will be an improvement on this
