128 upper rear strut mount bushings

Agnelli

True Classic
Last week on rough urban pavement left rear strut top mount detached from chassis mount hole. What a racket drove it home.

I had deferred installation of new bushings recently acquired (Classicperformance) from Europe, seemingly the only source after much searching.

Failure had occurred as the bottom bushing located toward the top of the strut and under the chassis mount hole did not have the requisite concave steel washer that captures the bushing on the strut rod, so the old bushing had slipped down on the rod.

Solution was to move the concave washers to the lower position, and fabricated replacement washers for the bushings above the chassis holes.

These were the final frontier of what was left for a near total suspension refresh, looking forward to seeing if there's any perceived driving improvement.
