Thought i'd share my fulvia story and images with the group. LMK if thats not allowed since its not a fiat design and the image storage may get heavy.

As you can see the muffler was damaged in transport which was very much one of those HS! OMG moments as it was rolled off the top of a double decker transporter

She didnt idle very well at first so I had to clean the idle jets and the Solex cold start device, which is a rather interesting disc valve thats actuated by the choke cable.

I think 1972 Lancia was taken over by Fiat, and Fulvia and Flavia production contiuned while they designd and built the Beta...even after the Beta was launched the Fulvia and Flavia / 2000 Berlina were sold in Fiat dealerships, so IMO no reason to put this in NFC.

I've always admired the Fulvia coupe, such a pretty car in the flesh.

So after fixing the idle issue and getting a couple short joy rides I noticed it was running hot so took a look at the thermostat and found the thermostat housing corroded, the rear tube passage blocked, and the remote petcock completely blocked preventing coolant flow. The drain bolt actually snapped off when trying to drain the system. Luckily these parts are easy to find and was a relatively easy fix. I replaced all the hoses and flushed out the system. Unfortunately the heater control valve and matrix are not working and will need to be replaced but I bypassed the heater core to keep driving the car until the parts arrive.

Bizarre the things that are not cared for on a car that ‘looks’ well cared for. Bummer about all that.

Lovely car.
