RED X19

More I look at pictures more decent to me they look also than any I have fitted before and am willing to keep them on X19.

*Yes, there is 14,5 stickmen backspace :D

Front wheels ar 16x7.5 et35 that requires approximately 30mm spacer.
What are Your thoughts about them, should I use ones with longer bolts or ones that are bolted to hub and then wheel to hub.*edit and then wheel to spacer

There exist 16x7.5 et20 that would fit with 15mm spacer, but can't find them here for good price yet.

In general the ones with two sets of bolts (spacer bolted to hub and wheel bolted to spacer) are preferred, especially for thicker (wider) spacers. Thin (narrow) spacers won't have enough material to use two sets of bolts, so longer bolts are needed with them. How thick the spacers need to be to use two sets of bolts will differ between manufacturers, but I think it is somewhere around 15mm. With anything around 20mm or wider I would definitely prefer having two sets.

One thing I like about having spacers with two sets of bolts is they use lug nuts to secure the wheels to the spacer. Easier than using bolts to secure the wheels (when putting the wheels on the car). Another potential benefit to having the spacers with two sets of bolts is you can have two different bolt patterns; 4X98 to mount the spacer to the Fiat hub, and anything you want for the second set to fit any wheels you have (other than 4X98).

Two more cents worth...

What Doc said... If you go to some other aftermarket wheel and use "adapters", I might suggest you go to a 4 x 100 or 4 x 110 bolt pattern for the new wheels. There are much more styles and sizes available to you and if and when you go to sell them, they will fit a multitude of other cars.

Started to work on this car in october of 2016 :D
Right now I became 30 years old/young.
Cheers :)

P.S. party is tomorrow, that’s why picture looks lame :D

Best wishes on the year to come Janis! Maybe this will be the year that the X1/9 becomes a driving car again. Or even better things to come for you. ;)

For what it's worth, I have project cars that have been going on longer than that. And I'm a lot older than you. So you have lots of time to finish it. :D

Hey, if it clears that is all that's needed. Once you get it to the proper ride height it will look great with those wheels. ;)

Got it to the proper level :D
Car is moved to electrician’s workshop today. Fiat looks a bit sad, yet, compared to others there, bmw v12 biturbo, nissans, miatas and few others.

Nice. Very happy it is finally on the way. Be sure to detail any of the programming the specialist does with the VEMs ECU. Very interested to find out how he begins; by downloading a similar map or by creating a new one from nothing. Good luck with it.

Am going to check gaps between shims and cam after few hours.
Can’t find at the moment neither in my files neither here what gaps are supposed to be.

Does anyone have this info?
If matters a lot then it is 1.6 engine from Punto with stock cam.
Thanks

For the 1500 X1/9...
Valve clearance (engine cold):
— Intake ......................................... 0.011 to 0.014 in. (0.28 to 0.35 mm)
— Exhaust ....................................... 0.015 to 0.018 in. (0.38 to 0.46 mm)

I don't know if it is any different for the 1600.

You can run them tighter if you check the clearances per the factory maintenance schedule. Joe Serra told me the factory specs are loose to accommodate cars that are rarely serviced. He recommended .012" intake, .014" exhaust. I've always set my engine to those numbers. Never had a problem until my timing belt tensioner disintegrated. A few more thousands of clearance would not have helped much in that situation.
