1995 Alfa Romeo 164 SL

True Classic
Does anyone have experience with one of these? The few books I have on Alfa's seems to summarize them as reliable and fun to drive but extremely uncollectable. Probably because its FWD but it does have a pretty v6 in there, who cares if its FWD. This one will be cheapish, around 2k and needs a fuel pump. The last Alfa I owned imploded and disowned me and I swore never again....!

Great driving cars, yes even though they are FWD. Busso V6 one of the best and if you're talking a 95 car, they are 24v versions.

Post pics.

Timing belts, timing belts. 1st generation 24v motors have timing belt issues. The timing belt arrangement was redesigned around 96. I have read that you don't want to park it in gear and never let the motor turn backwards. Not sure if a fix has been found. Check with the alfa boards.
