ALCAN X 1/9

Ciao amici,

Sometime ago there was a discussion about the 5 ALCAN aluminium structured X 1/9.
When we visited Carrozzeria Bertone in 1987 we could take pictures of a BLACK and RED aluminium bodied X 1/9 and at that moment really had no idea what we were looking at...…….2 ALCAN prototypes. When we opened the bonnets we could see that there were NO weldings at all, panels were glued as far as I could see

Those photos take me back...A shame those aluminum bodies weren't up to the durability of use. What could have been!
