Browsing the Alfabb.com site I came across this thread.....

Why was the Alfasud not sold in the USA?

You guys didn’t get the Alfasud but you may find this interesting...... I’ve never seen the drawing or picture of the ‘sud spider before but it looks like an X1/9......

never heard of a spider alfasud..anyway bertone design firm was involved with alfa too back in the '70s

I had nearly new 1.5Ti Alfasud in the early 1980's, fantastic car to drive and a good looker. However in less than five years it had rust on all the panels and the structure was seriously compromised. Quite and achievement to self destruct in such a short time

I had one as well in Blue, I sold it before it dissolved! Then I went and bought a Sprint Veloce which we still have to this day...

Alfasud Spider never went anywhere.

Sort of 90s Mercury Capri if you ask me.

And we can't forget the Alfetta Spider concept too. This was Pininfarina.
