It comes out pretty easy, but the seal (the tar looking stuff is really a formed seal) will likely tear and not be re-usable. I have removed both solid wings and those drilled for mirrors this way.[/FONT]

Haven't got a feel for the temper on the glass but it sounds like it doesn't shatter based on your several times doing it that same way.[/FONT]

When I was replacing the wing windows on my '78 to ones with intergrated mirrors, the person I bought the wing windows and mirrors from only sent the glass and not the rails, thus the yank 'em out method.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]You might share with Jeff the part where you have to pry the two adjacent glass mounting bosses away from the outer skin panel. There is a riding condition there. A gentle nudge with a prying tool will coax the bosses up and over the hump on the inner ply of the outer skin.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]A pry and a pull and the whole frame including wing window was removed in that way. I was expecting little cubes of glass to go flying. Must have had around thirty pounds of pull to yank out the assembly.[/FONT]
