You don't have to pull the motor. The tranny will come out by itselt fairly easily.

Sychros are not a problem either. I have boxes full of used synchros, but new ones are not expensive and are well worth the investment.

Elsewhere on this site you will find "5 spd 101". It covers most of what you will need for this project.
