i just bought an 80 spider 2000 and according to the previous owner(husband &wife 2nd owners) the engine was replaced either once or twice . the question is can anyone tell me if the engine block # 132 DB 24 0 is from the same year car.

A USA '80 Spider would have normally had engine type 132C3.040 or 132C3.031.

A 132DB.2AO engine would've been out of something like a Fiat 131 SuperBrava (SuperMirafiori), if I recall correctly (sorry, fuzzy memory).
