I believe I've got a leaky injector hose (between the injector and the fuel manifold) on my '79 X.

Just to make sure, it's 7.5mm.

I've heard braided is more durable than non-braided (by braided, I mean fabric-braiding)... any truth to that rumor?

Yep

7.5mm I.D.

5/16" (7.9mm) will work, some folks get nervous.

Cloth braiding is "stock" but many modern equivalents don't have it, but are reinforced within the wall with braiding. I think it gets shabby looking after a while, and is hard to clean!

Converted car? As 79 X's did not have fuel injection.

'84 engine

The engine is from an '84 that was wrecked. The second owner convinced his mechanic to do the engine transplant. It was a pretty nicely done job.

Most people in FIAT America know the car (the 2nd owner was also a member) so it must've slipped my mind to mention the engine swap.
