(FOUND) WTB: Single Cromodora CD-3 Wheel

here is a link to the vendor's web site claiming these are replica CD44
http://greggearhead.com/store/p54/BMW_2002_Cromodora_Replica_Wheels_-_OEM_BMW_Part!.html

Here is a link to vendor in italy with CD44
https://www.subito.it/accessori-auto/2-cerchi-alpine-a110-cromodora-cd44-5x13-ferrara-372310053.htm

What was the original question? 😄

That first vendor is mislabeling the wheel. The second vendor has an actual wheel, which looks totally different and is a three lug wheel for an Alpine A110.

What were you trying to say? haha. j/k

Looks completely different. The mislabeled wheel (labeled oddly as a CD44 "Daytona", which looks nothing like a Daytona) is a reproduction BMW 2002tii wheel. These wheels were BMW factory options on the early round taillight cars.

I can get some pics tomorrow, didn't feel like dealing with the snowy swamp that my yard turned into today.
These all look like variations of the 124 wheel. There are several date codes.
The marks are cast on. Most of them are marked "CD". One is marked "D" only in larger letter height than the "CD" marked wheels.
2 of the CD wheels have a raised "1" on a spoke away from the CD mark.
One of the CD marked wheels has a tiny 124ACxxxx raised number in one of the recessed spots on the mounting face next to the lug hole.
Like the CD3 wheel shown in your picture, all of my wheels have the mounting circle for the SS Fiat hub caps.
Pics tomorrow.
Pics of first wheel.
It's been sitting in storage for about 30 years, I would wash it but it's 32F outside and I'm just not that enthused.
I'll post the second wheel in a few minutes.

Next wheel, typical of 1.
Circled mark on back of wheel is a "D".
Both wheels have 3 prongs for hubcap.

See the FPS insignia. That is Fratelli Pedrini Sarezzo. They made wheels for various car manufacturers. If Cromodora made the CD3, then maybe the FPS is a style copy.

See my post above re: BMW 2002tii wheel.

Gene, since both of those wheels are marked Cromodora and they are also marked Fiat 13x5, I'd say both of those wheels you just posted are in fact CD3s. Just may be early days and they hadn't yet gotten into the habit of marking everything with CD numbers yet.

I agree. Both of Gene's wheels have all of the same design characteristics as other CD3's I've seen & owned. Size, front scripts & placement, spoke count, vent count, hubcap mounting nubs, center hub design (front & rear) & 4x98mm lugbolt pattern.

So Gene, do you have a CD3 wheel available for my friend to buy? If so, what is your price? (Just trying to keep him informed & not leave him hanging)

Sorry Jeff, intended to get back to you.
I'm not ready to sell mine, thought about it, but I'm going to hang on to them.

Hey Jeff:

I hope you are well?

I may have a single CD3 in the garage. It will take some digging (if you are not in a hurry), and still has a tire on it, I can make it available.

It is oxidized, but could be cleaned up fairly easily.

I will get pics up after I find it, and then we can take to private message to negotiate a fair price.

Is that cool?

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, thank you. I will forward this message to my friend, as well.
