Back in November of last year I bought an off-lease 2016 Fiat 500e. The glove box hinge was broken, and in April I finally ordered a replacement glove box door ($17!). A month later, the parts place was still waiting for these to come in from Italy, so I decided to repair the one I have.
The problem:
Both sides of both hinges were torn open. I used brass tube and sheet to create inserts to repair the broken hinges:
And finally, epoxying these in place on the glove box door:
Put it back together today, and all is good.
