Just Bought a Yugo GVX

This 88 Yugo is a great runner with only 64,000 miles and a fresh paint job done back in Nov. Some of my plans for this car:

1500 engine swap
Rear disc brakes
Install some rims I got for my X (didn't look right on my X)
Lower it. Not sure how low yet.. Depends on what it looks like with the rims.
Please let me know what you all think.

Is this one of the Yugos I've seen on the IN/IL craigslists of late? The pictures and mileage seem familiar. Interesting cars. I'd consider one for the obscurity and oddity of it, if I could add another car. Congrats on the purchase!

Those little cars are a blast.

One of my mechanics, Art, has a 15,000 mile GVL that he bought stock aa couple years ago and then hotted up with cam, exhaust, carb, WHOA brakes, and wheels. It's pretty trick.
