The damage is thankfully not extensive, but is sickeningly gruesome. It is entirely isolated to the nosecone, the central area. She's bent and bare metal is exposed in several places.
I would like some FAST and budget-concious guidance, please, on how to immediately prep/treat the damaged area to prevent the rust process from getting a foothold, until I can (at some mysterious future point) get this to a body magician.

My condolences... for a quick rustpooofing, get that bare metal coated FAST! Anything is better than nothing! The $10 fix is a can of primer and a can of the closest black you can find. HOWEVER, do be aware that rattle can primers contain fish oils, and must be removed completely before coverage with a high quality paint (Centauri for example) as it will cause "fish eyes" in the paint (no pun intended).
The best temporary fix would be POR-15 or a similar rustproofing paint... it's flexible, so the body shop can work right around it if necessary. It isn't cheap tho - about $30 per quart.
Can you source another nose cone? it will save you big $$... if you do the prep work, and buy the supplies, a body shop will paint an individual piece for you relatively cheap (assuming you can match the paint).

Then hit it with the primer, let dry THOUROUGHLY and paint to seal the primer off.( primer is not water/moisture proof.)It may not look pretty but it will get you out of the woods until you can get to a body shop.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
