New owner

Ron Avery

True Classic
I am from the X1/9 part of this forum, I own a 1976. I have just purchased a 1976 Monte Carlo. I am going up to the owners house this Sunday,to drive it and do the paper work. I will pick it up after Monterey car week. I will be driving it home on my way back from Monterey.
It is a very cool car, lots of well executed mods. I have been enamored with these since my dad test drove a new Scorpion in SoCal.
I will keep you updated. I hope this does not duplicate an existing thread. These are some pics of my X1/9

It is Marks car, and it was in that magazine article. The best thing is, it drivers as good has it looks. And Mark has done a fantastic job. I have a lot on my to do list. Purchase a car cover, and have it detailed once I get home

I know, I pick it up Sunday afternoon.. then drive it back to Monterey for the night. Then leave for Oxnard Monday around 9:00 am. I was in the parking structure at my Hotel just now. And talked to an Mobile Detailer working on a few newer Ferrari’s. I arranged for him to detail the Montecarlo Monday morning at 7:00 am before I go home. I know it sounds superfluous . But will be nice to have it clean for the drive.

Can't buy any better than from Mark. His cars are top drawer, and he is easily one of the most knowledgable Fiat/Lancia nuts in the US. He also consistently bails me out...so, there's that.

Car and I are home from Monterey car week, paint correction is underway. Car drove great on the way home. No problems at all. It was hot weather wise. 102 was the hottest, the car ran cool, but I was very warm. I need the get the A/C charged. I will be taking it to my shop for the A/C charge and a cam belt change, as soon as he can get me in.

Ron, great meeting you and your Milano at the Carmel concours! Glad the Lancia worked out and you made it home without issue, the car looks great! What's on the right side of the garage? My guess is a GT6 MKIII up top and a late-model Aston (V8 Vantage?) below?

You are correct, my 2016 Aston Martin Vantage GT.Nice to meet you as well. The Lancia is a great car, very comfortable seats, and drives great. Just need to charge the A/C.
