New Reman X1/9 5 Speed

Steve Hoelscher

True Classic
I have a fresh remanufactured 5 speed for sale. As with all of my units its been built with the best available parts and has all of my upgrades.

This unit was built to order for a client a few years ago and, as it turns out, miss delivered to the wrong address. Once we realized it was lost I built a replacement unit, which was successfully delivered. I then filed a claim with the carrier. Then a couple of months ago it turns up as the people who recieved it took it to the actual addressee, and they shipped it back to me.

I opened it back up to give it a once over to ensure it was in good condition and its now ready to provide many miles of enjoyment. Shipping via UPS to anywhere in the US.

Pretty sweet deal...!

One can easily get that much into parts depending upon your core and if you can even find them.

Hi Guys,

Trying to plan for my 'off season' for this winter. I have a couple of units on my schedule already but wanted to see who else might need one so I could order parts and set my schedule.

I'll want to talk with you some day, but need to wait on two things - money and some laps in my race car.

Its great to have you as a resource here.

The rebuild I got from Steve is running sweet and crisp, if a bit leaky, Well worth it to get a rebuilt transmission from the global expert.

Hi Steve we exchanged a few messages about 4 years ago.
You might be interested to hear that the X1/9's big brother the Ferrari 308 GT4, was powered by a 16V V8, an early version of the type F106 motor.
Later versions had variable valve timing and 4 or 5 valves per cylinder.
I don't know if it's pure coincidence that the bore spacing of the Fiat 128 block is the same as the F106, but I received a message from the driver (Gianluca Ticci) confirming he used an F106 head on a X1/9 1500 block, to produce a 2-litre 285 rwhp NA race motor featured in this video

Ticci needs to open his engine lid and show us.
