This is an interesting collection of vintage rally cars:

Very delicious and the engine shots show a lot of 128 sheet metal. Dual IDFs is always a crowd pleaser.

Thanks Dr. Why do I have a sudden desire to put lots of very large driving lights on my Xs?

Check out the Ford Escort MK2 2000 RS pics. I have zero experience with the model but two observations:
1. that is a very crude exhaust manifold. It certainly doesn't look tuned or free-flowing in any case.
2. what is going on with the brake master cylinder, booster, and that long black train behind it? is that to get the proper pedal ratio and feel?

Looks like the vacuum diaphragm was in the way so they extended it past the engine. If the guy only knew about GM’s small diameter double diaphragm vacuum brake booster it would have saved him all that work.

that does make sense now. Now throw in Brake-by-wire, so much room for activities!

I suspect both of the Fiat Spiders are not actually Abarth given that you can see the bog standard front lower A arms are clearly visible.

The Abarth uses a proprietary lower cross member, lower A arm and a leading radius rod. They show no imagery of the rear suspension which was also proprietary with a large fabricated lower A arm and a Chapman strut arrangement (the X uses a Chapman strut in the rear FYI).

Makes one wonder about the provenance of some of the rest of the cars
