Daily Driver
Ready for another NW Fiat gathering next month? I am thinking sometime in May. I am open to the following dates: Sat May 9th, Sun May 10th, Sat May 16th, Sun May 17th, Sat May 23th, Sun may 24th, Sat may 30th, Sun May 31st.

It will be at my place--south of Chehalis, WA.

Let me know your preference.

Wayne

PS: could someone make this a sticky

May 30 or 31 are only dates that work for me...

...and I hadda skip Gregory's Gathering already!
(insert smilie of prayer here...)

Glad I got to see you...

... at Gregory's, Wayne, because I might miss this event on any of those days - they all span the timeframe I'm going to be moving house across town. If I could make any at all it would be the last weekend dates, but even that is a huge if at this point... Whatever dates you pick, take pics :D for those of us who may turn out less fortunate...

Hey Wayne!

The first week is out for me. Others are good. I'll be around. Is Memorial Day Weekend the last weekend in May?

Selected Sat, May 30

Selected Sat, May 30

Just added the date to the calender. Now all we need is no rain.

Spring gathering this year will be as most all others: Start any time after 9:00 AM and end what ever. We will have food and soft drinks.

RSVP so I can plan food accordingly and provide directons if needed.

There in Spirit

I will be in Bend, Oregon with 11 other guys for the 14th annual Sandbagger Open Championship. Eleven rounds of golf in 8 days. I am sorry to miss Wayne's event...always a great time. Go SeaX and thanks again to Wayne.

Where's the chatter?

Only a few days before the premier PacNW X1/9 event,
the World Famous Wayne's Garage X1/9 Gathering!

Weighing in so far:
Mark Plaia
Brent Barber
Gregory Smith
Peter Mahr (he of few words...)
Plus ubiquitous Mister FI hisownself...John Allen.
I'll roust Jeff Gebhard, and post on Mira.

After the Gathering, I'll head over to SouthSound Raceway,
about 30 miles from Wayne's,
for an evening of circle track racing!
Running BigRigs on the paved 3/8ths track.

Who else is coming?

Nice...I'm excited...

I wonder if Steve K in Vancouver will be there? I'll send him an email...I owe him a front spoiler!

Mike...if you want some company to the track...maybe I can folla you there...I live in the area and have never been to that (or any other NW) track. Sounds like fun! :woot:

Yes! That was open invitation to join in...

...attending a "good ol' boy" circle track race.
They are a hoot...a few times per season.
Mostly from a cultural POV...mingling with/observing natives.
Maybe not a big draw for a Texan transplanted to Centralia WA!
But to a sportycar city boy, it's a different world to observe.

SouthSound is one one few paved tracks.
I prefer dirt tracks...little more "down home".
As the saying goes...
"If you haven't got dirt flying into your beer,
you're not at a real racetrack".

My nephew lives in Centralia, and normally goes
to SouthSound track on Saturday nights.
So I was going to tag along his crew.
He just told me he's going over to Grey's Harbor track instead,
which is a dirt track.
Are you up for that venue?

Looks like I am a no-go, as well....

I have a badly leaking axle boot that I just discovered. Not enough time to get the replacement part. It is leaking bad enough (in about a 10 mile drive) that it would empty the transaxle a couple of times over on a 400 mile round trip.

Have a great time.

Ciao,

I will be stopping by...

Hi Wayne,

I will be stopping by for an hour or two. Something like 11am to 1pm. Don't worry about food. I will be dropping off the wife at the outlet mall and then going back to have lunch with her later. Can you send me directions? I went to your place a couple of years ago. I will be comeing up I-5 from Oregon so I just need the exit and street names once you get off the freeway.

Thanks, Tim Iburg

I hope it was a good meet...

Did anyone go? Sorry I couldn't, I had a basement to finish in Portland.

We want pics!

Waynes gathering was great!

Wayne's gathering was as good as usual. What a wonderful time to get all of my X questions answered - thanks everyone. The sun made everyone's cars shine, especially Mike M's nice wheel. Wayne's GMC motor home rebuild in progress was awsome. Thanks for doing this for us.
