Orientation of 79+ front bumper brackets

OK, we took everything apart to powder coat the bumpers, but didn't think to log the orientation of the front bumper brackets. They have 2 mount bolt holes on one side (top or bottom) and 1 mount hole on the other side. Does anyone know which way they mount? If mounted upside down, the bumper is going to be either too high or too low.

Thanks so much for the photos, Rodger.....they are a big help. Nice wasp or hornet's nest on the back side of your bumper. Around here, in the junk yards, the wasps nest in the mirror housings, behind the mirror.

Be very careful and do not over-tighten the nuts or it will break the aluminum rails that the bolt heads slide into. I broke one of mine and there is no fix.

Thanks for the tip. I tightened them to "just over snug". I figure that the "serrations" on the nut flanges should keep them from loosening.
