PAINT XPERTS! How do I best strip paint from plastic, rubber, & stainless steel trim?

I am not expert, but just cleaned paint over spray from weather strips of car doors.
Remove the strips, apply Motsenbockers Lift Off #5 Latex-Based Paint Remover few times in 10 minutes, then brush hard on them w Scot Brite. Color becomes like new.
I tried with 91p alcohol, we tested at HD store with some heavy-duty sprays, they all failed, maybe because of the cured and dried paint. The car strips cost over $200 to replace if lacquer thinner goes wrong.
I heard Meguiar product can do good job too, but did not try it.
