I bought it for a writeup on the early US-spec X1/9, which was cool - but as I made my unknowing way to the end of the mag, lo & behold the inside back cover is a full-page color ad for "AMCO" of North Hollywood, California...[/FONT]

I was very curious, as I had never seen that before - The snaps they used were very small compared to the average sized snaps one might see on a soft top, and thus were not as obtrusive... but were still clearly visible.[/FONT]

One of them was the oddest X I've ever seen. It had a metal rear trunk spoiler(looked like the ones Bayless sells), an odd engine cover(Ferrari like), metal ground-effect rocker panels, front hood didn't indent, and it had ferrari-like square headlights. The color was red and had "Cobra" stickers all over it. I recently tried to get a picture of it but he sold the car years ago and didn't have any that he knew of. I would really love to see one of these again. [/FONT]

I was very curious, as I had never seen that before - The snaps they used were very small compared to the average sized snaps one might see on a soft top, and thus were not as obtrusive... but were still clearly visible.[/FONT]

One of them was the oddest X I've ever seen. It had a metal rear trunk spoiler(looked like the ones Bayless sells), an odd engine cover(Ferrari like), metal ground-effect rocker panels, front hood didn't indent, and it had ferrari-like square headlights. The color was red and had "Cobra" stickers all over it. I recently tried to get a picture of it but he sold the car years ago and didn't have any that he knew of.
