Forgot something, Doc!
The race was only 7 hours Saturday and 6-1/2 Sunday with a team of four drivers.
High revs for extended periods and high revs for 13-1/2 hours are two different things. This was our first race, and our goal was for everybody to get a chance to drive before the car blew up. Much to our surprise it didn't blow up.
Good points. We have another member here (Rapunzel) who raced a stock X motor, generally they don’t blow up.
They have since moved on to a different engine and transmission which is much faster but no more reliable.
Yeah, we are light-years behind Rapunzel in sophistication.

I didn't realize sophistication was on our menu. Clearly any Fiat called a Fatrat could not possibly qualify for anything approaching sophistication.
