Shifter bias?

Do any of the transverse Fiats have a bias spring on the shifter to bias the shifter to the 3- 4 gate?

Only inside the trans, not on the shifter.

At least on the 4speed, the spring likes to break.

I just went out to the garage and checked on
2x Yugo 5speed
1x X1/9 5speed
1x Tipo 5speed
All out of the car and all have the internal spring.

All right, thanks! My shifter is not 'floppy', but doesn't feel particularly biased to the center. It feels like it could stay in any gate... When you shift out of 2nd, it doesn't really 'pop' over to 3rd...

Then maybe you have some friction somewhere?
You could disconnecht the lollipop and turn the shift rod with vice grips to check the centering action.

Would you consider selling one of your Yugo 5 speeds?

Thanks Ulix

Hi Jim,

I just got them! :)
And I am in Germany.
They are meant for my 128 and my buddy's (that he hasn't bought yet).

I got them from Serbia.

Excellent Ulix.

Any help on identifying where there may be a third available transaxle?

Best,

Jim
