source for 128 sedan / wagon felt window channel replacement

My 128 wagon needs the aforementioned replaced, particularly worn out and rattly are the driver's side window channels.

OE or remanufactured replacements don't appear readily available from the usual sources.

Has anyone here used a universal replacement with any success?

Try Auto Ricambi. The one they sell is a near exact match for the X so I assume it would work for a 128 as well.

If the 128 is the same material as the X's (I don't know), and if you are referring to only the "felt" side (not the rubber one), then there is a universal item that works good. It comes in a stick that's around 10 foot long for about $30 (enough for a couple of cars). I bought it from a place that specializes in vintage car restoration parts, but most upholstery shops can order it. There are several styles to choose from. I don't recall the specific number for this type, but the shop had a display of samples to compare to.
