Strada transmission in a 128

I just realized the Strada transmission (Ritmo in Europe) has a different lower engine/transmission mount than the standard 128 4 speed. Has anyone put a Strada 5 speed transmission in their 128? If so how did you make the 128 mount fit the Strada transmission? The Strada transmission case is missing a third boss for a stud for the 128 mount. Guess I could make a steel plate that would fit between the 128 mount and Strada transmission case that would add the third mounting point to the Strada transmission but was hoping that there might be a better way. Here's four photos of an extra 128 case half with the mount and Strada case and the 128 mount. Oh well, I was hoping to put the engine and transmission back into the 1973 128SL tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any replies, Ken

Thanks for the reply. Is the mount custom made? Did you take a 128 or X1/9 mount and make a new back plate? Or is it a stock Regatta mount? Looks like you added the side transmission mount that the Strada (Yugo had that too?) had. Is there enough room for that? Ken

I welded an extra piece onto the 128 mount and filled in the unused hole.. I left the big middle stud in place, cut it short so it just functions as a pin to help support the weight. Since that trans had a left side mount, I added a tab to the left unibody rail with a captive nut welded in and used a urethane bushing and an ARP 14mm bolt...
