The Abarth X1/9 Prototipo/Stradale Thread

X-19 prototipo rally

I have the full kit from Guy. I am installing it on my X-19 gravel spec group 5 rally car. The car was wrecked in a bad racing off at Ski sawmill rally in northern Pa. I barrel rolled the car 8 times and dropped it 35 ft down off a mountain into a creek bed. The big Russian fix the body work and I decided to install the group IV kit and make it a hillclimb racer. This car has a 1500cc turbo engine with large intercooler. Close ratio 5 speed with 4:81 final drive. this car is really fast! I will take some photos and post. Car is located in Bucks county Pa.

Like Kafrik, this is what I want to see :D Missed this first post time around

I've already started mine
I custom made the panels because no moulds are available for stradale
Mine will be similar to the one on the cover of faza bible expect with a k20 swap

Wow, the attention to detail is impressive. Will you produce some documentation (book?) when the Abarth X1/9 Stradale Prototipo restoration is complete?

The owner of the Stradale has done an incredible job. Using mostly the original parts and only changing what needed to be with new old stock. There are custom and prototype parts found in later models as well they are just a bit different to what went into final production on following models. The detail of each parts restoration is a credit to the owner.

Hi Mike, no won't be a book but will be on the x19.com.au website and videos of its full history and restoration. There are factory pictures and information that few have seen. I'm working with the owner to correct the countless errors in magazine articles published. Everything will be backed up with old original documentation and pictures from Abarth. Few months to go still before the car is ready as well as publishing its story.

Where are you at with this one? Brayden was looking for someone who could make a mold for a snorkel - looks like you made the whole thing from scratch, no?

Car is 90% finished just working out all the bugs in the car with the k20 as well
I have moulds for snorkel in many different configurations
