It is the one that is supposed to run to the AC unit.

During lunch I went out and looked around the engine bay of my '82. Laying alongside the vacuum hose that runs down to the front side of the engine (and is connected to the distributer) is another hose that winds its way thru the fire wall and wasn't connected to anything, AHHH HA!

I quickly connected it to the open vacuum bib and the engine stalled out.?.?

I unhooked it and restarted the car. Every time I would block the flow of air into that vacuum bib the car would stumble and if I left it blocked it would stall. Seems to run fine with it unblocked and sucking air.

Something is really out of wack if the loss of that little bit of air can make the car stall out.

I think the very least you should do is cork the bib and retune the idle and so it idles properly.

I'm unfamiliar with the specifics of this FI, but there should be an idle adjustment and an air/fuel mix adjustment... sometimes hidden under a plug or cap.

Too much air entering the system... especially at idle, tends to LEAN out and engine and they run hot and tend to burn valves.
