I didn't think the new 500 POP I had ordered would be here until well into the new year, but got a call from the dealer on christmas eve as I was leaving work, and they found one in Australia in the correct colour and trim combination and that it could be ready for delivery dec 30th!

Daughter is very happy as it's a (slightly late) birthday (23/12) christmas and (I found out at dinner on sat night) engagement present for her...

Base model. 1.2 8v and a five speed/ grey / black interior... and she loves it.

Since I just married off my daughter 2 months ago, I know which will be the most expensive part of the birthday surprise.:lol:

I had a ford KA when I lived in Melbourne back in 2001.

The KA of that year and the fiat500 were both made in the same plant in Poland.

Yeah this is a Polish built 500, and the steering is on the right side! :)

She loves it, and is amazed by every other 500 driver on the road waving to her! (she's never had a Fiat as a daily driver before)

She's only had it a couple of weeks and has already done over 1000km in it, and remarked that she finds herself smiling when she drives it. (always a good sign)
