What’d ya do with your X120 today?

Took some glamour phots for BAT. I even washed it. Need to take under carriage photos before I list it

@kmead I'll be saving up too. Maybe we could go in half and half. We can keep the car at my place so it won't be in your way.🤣

Took the Scorpion to a cars and caffeine show sponsored by Hagerty at the Autobahn Country Club on Sat. The turn out for the show was disappointing, but the weather was good and it was fun to watch the Supercar Experience and track day cars on the two different courses.

Took the Scorpion to a car show in El Paso, IL. today. The weather was nice and the turnout wasn't bad. Lots of folks left early though, maybe to go attend an afternoon show nearby?

I set up a chair behind the car today and had a chance to talk to lots of nice folks. I got a lot of familiar questions like:

Q: "What is it?" A: "Lancia Scorpion." Follow-up Q: "Who makes it?" Follow-up A: "Lancia." Comment: "Oh." Next Q: "Where is it from?" A: "Italy" Comment: "Oh"

Comments: "I've never seen one of those before!", "I thought it was a kit car.", "Looks like a DeLorean.", "Looks like a Fiero."

Q: "Is it fast." A: chuckle "No." Comment: "It looks fast."

I got lots of complements on the paint and the car overall. Of course those are from the folks who stopped to look...

I also got an invitation to show the car at an Indoor Show. :) Should be fun.

I enjoy talking to the folks that stop and look at the car, but I sometimes feel that by sitting behind the car I inhibit some folks from stopping and looking it over. I've noticed that when I sit away from a car in the show folks seem to more at ease looking at the car. Even taking pics with the car. :D

So how do you do it? Sit with the car, or stand back?
