What cars have you owned?

Hmm,this brings back memories. In order of ownership (as close as I can remember):

1968 Fiat 850 Spider
1971 Ford Capri (totaled at 6 months, not my fault)
1972 Ford Capri
1979 Fiat X1/9 (still have)
1976 Saab 99
1983 Saab 900 Turbo (a total lemon)
1983 BMW 323i (gray market import)
1984 Ford Bronco II
1987 Ford Bronco II
1969 Triumph Spitfire/GT6 conversion (restoration project never completed)
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
1995 BMW M3
1999 BMW M3 convertible
2000 BMW 528i sport wagon

2008 Mini Cooper S convertible
2010 Audi A3
2011 Audi Q7

2014 Ford Escape
2015 VW Golf GTI (still have)

1981 Fiat X1/9 (K20 swap in progress)

Some were mainly the wife's car. My favorites were the BMW 323i that I brought back from Germany, the '95 M3, the S4 Avant, and my current GTI. And of course, my original X.

Guys I only listed cars I've driven as DDs. That is also by far not the whole list of cars I've driven, just the ones used to get me back and forth in high school and college owned by my parents. Its as close to ownership as possible for a poor HS and college kid.
Cars driven for funzies would include the likes of 2017 Ford GT prototypes, 2006 Ford GT, Porsche GT3, Ferrari 458, McLaren 675 LT, crazy amounts of S550 Mustangs and Shelbys and many other Fords. Now that list is purely to gloat.

1965 Morris Mini Deluxe
1970 Mazda Capella Coupe
1972 Mazda RX-2 Coupe
1992 Subaru Sportswagon
1979 X1/9
1978 X1/9
2004 Subaru WRX
1976 Lancia Scorpion
2002 Alfa Romeo 147 Selespeed
2008 Subaru Impreza Wagon
1975 X1/9
2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

49 cars owned over 53 yrs.
25 of 'em were Fiat, mostly X1/9s & some FWD variants.
No need to list the PorHonDatToys...fun rides, but not memorable.

Most memorable cars are:
'69 Camaro SS350, bought new, resto-modded in the '80s, still own.
'71 Chevy Sin Bin during '70s van craze.
'59 Porsche 356A, fun, but too fragile to flog. Sold to buy Fiat.
'64 Mini Marcos GT...a rebodied BMC Mini. Also too fragile to flog.
WedgeX...aluminum body 3/4 scale circle track sportsman car.
Flogged it for years...near bulletproof!

One more memorable vehicle...'65 Honda Super90.
Memorable because residual effects of an encounter
with distracted driver caused US Gov'mint to rescind
their invitation to join '60s-era tea party in Southeast Asia.

1963 Renault Dauphine
1970 Renault R10
1965 Dodge Coronet 500
1972 Vega GT

1962 Fiat 1100 (w/'58 parts car)
1975 124 sport coupe
1972(?) 850 spider

I also enjoyed 1970's motorcycles, last one sold 5 years ago. Balance and eyesight issues ended these, getting older is a pain.

Wow. Make up your minds! You guys are obviously searching and don't know what you really want. I have challenge. Let's see who can top my short list. That is to say, who can list even fewer cars. Obviously I am a purist. :)

66 Plymouth Satellite
1971 Bronco
1973 Bronco
1979 X 1/9
1972 Bronco
1976 Bronco
That's it. Period.
Still have three of those above.

Lives in New Mexico. Many live in the tin worm zone so no choice but to move on...

A very frugal choice of how to live I must say, cars are an amazing wallet suck. Congrats!

Interesting lists. It says a lot about location and age. I'm 58 and living in Canada, I used to own many "winter's cars". I'm not including the many parts car I bought (8 x1/9 and 1 128). But you will not find many significant cars in that list. I'm glad I wrote the list in 1990. I still got the printed paper and it's on my office billboard besides the list of all passcodes for everything you need to live today.

In purchase order:

1973 Audi Fox
1969 Mercury Marquis
1974 Toyota Célica
1978 Datsun B210
1978 Honda Civic
1982 Renault 5 (bought twice)
1975 Triumph TR7
1974 Fiat X 1/9 (bought twice but the last time was for parts)
1980 Chevrolet Citation
1978 Fiat X 1/9
1985 Renault 5
1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
1979 Fiat 128 rallye
1981 Honda Prelude
1978 Chrysler Cordoba
1987 Acura Integra
1980 Fiat X 1/9 (still own)
1983 Dodge Omni
1987 Dodge Omni
1992 Hyundai Elantra
1992 Mazda MX3
2001 Saturn Sc2
2000 Dodge Grand Caravan
1987 Bertone X1/9
2007 Ford Freestar
2000 Dodge Neon
2008 Volvo C 30 (still own)
2013 Toyota Rav4 (wife's car)

Only the last 6 were bought in the last 25 years so a big part of the previous cars were young man winter's beater or just cheap.

Thats quite the collection. You should post pics of you garage. This would be a good site to see. The Westfalia with subi engine would have been a hoot to drive.

Is this an Abarth snorkel on the Hood of the MGB???:p

Nice disparate collection with an English car predominance.

Ooooh! A few minutes looking, I finally guess these are race seats sitting with an unknown logic in various spots of the garage!
