Wiper relay mod..

I believe several guys here have done it, Mike.s ,I think is one, so would any one who has done it care to comment on how it went? I have the original post and wiring diagrams, but I have a few problems with it.

Did you do it the way it was illustrated,..............Cause I did and the wipers run with tghe wiper switch off :wall:

I did the mod on my 81 and it turned out great.

They are now about 3 times faster and don't even drag when the windshield is dry, well worth the effort.
 
Well,

I will have to go find the wiring diagram I used but it seems to me you either have the relay connected incorrectly or you have the wrong relay. When you move the wiper switch into the "on" position it should supply current to the relay. The relay then closes the connection between the battery and the wiper motor.
