Does anyone know how hard it would be to use 124 gauges in the x? I like the look of the later ones and was thinking about having a sheet of carbon fiber layed up to serve as the instrument panel and putting the 124 gauges in it. I was looking at the pictures of the interior of the 037 lancia montecarlo racers and decided that I need a cooler instrument panel! basically, I'd like to know if all the senders would have to be replaced. I think all of the gauges would connect right up, I know the speedo and tach will. The others are a little more difficult because the X instrument cluster has two big multi connector plugs. You would have to find the right wires in these from a wiring diagram.

It worked great and I got some white faced gauges to boot. You simply print the new gauges out on a good quality printer and it looks factory.

I wanted to do the same thing in my Scorpion, but the difference was dramatic.
The speedo should have a number like "7025/k" on it. I don't have one in front of me, but it could be printed on the face or the back of the guage.
Why not use an '80 or newer X set? They have a similar appearace to the Spider/coupe but will plug right in..... Some even have that cool (strange?) reverse tach!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
