Yokohama S Drive 185/55R14

Mine arrived today, nice tires. Now to clean up the rims.

It will be interesting to drive an X with a performance tire, I have always had one form of rim ‘protector’ of one kind or another on my cars. The A509s from 1992 were long ago and far away but on my ’86 VW Golf.

I bought the Revolutions likely 20 years ago on Ebay, they were expensive at the time, at least for me.
 
I've got a set of 25 year old 185/60VR13 Yokohama AVS AV1-60i on my car. They were slotted between the A509s and 008s. They were just a couple of months old when my engine blew in 1995. When the car finally got back on the road last summer, they were a bit squirrelly for the first few hundred miles until I got to fresh rubber. I was surprised at how good a condition the rubber was in after all those years - still has the little rubber nubs from the mold vents sticking out.
