seems like you should be able to make a mold and start doing some resin cast repros or something, heck maybe even 3D printers can do these nowadays? Seems like a host of X owners would ditch their bumpers tomorrow if a plug in kit were put out that wasn't $600.

Regarding fitting the earlier engine cover and side pieces:

Looks like you used the taller '75-'78 engine lid?
Does your car still have the stock fuel injection ?
Any clearance issues or mods to make it fit ?
Any hints or tips ?

I have collected the bits to try to do the same on my '81.

You've don a spectacular job with the early engine cover, "svelte" early bumpers, etc. She's a beauty. Nice work!
