I'm still learning the various Euro model references to all things Fiat. Having heard mention of the "Tipo" engine:
Cozzi states: "I drove the Fiat Uno with this cylinder head"
SteveC wrote: "Tipo cylinder head"
So, is the "Tipo head" standard for the Uno's? What other models did it come on? Does it only apply to specific years/models, etc?
Please inform me about the "Tipo" origins.

Fiat Uno 1.6 is equipped with the Tipo head
In Argentina we also have the Fiat Tipo 1.6 which shares the same head
Both use Fiat/Lancia block and gearbox
Fiat/Lancia transmission is much stronger than the X1/9 and 128 models and is used in high power and turbo applications with no issues.:wink2:
