There is a small crack in my insulator plate right where it is thinnest (there is a crescent shaped cutout front center). I noticed it because it appeared to be wet right on the line so Im assuming it's allowing a small fuel leak. my question is can it also cause a small vac leak or any other issues? I am planning on pulling/rebuilding my carb soon so perhaps i can change the plate...

thanks

George

It sure can cause a vacuum leak

If you don't have another carb base let me know. I think I have a spare I can give you.

Thank you Dean, thats really nice. Im going to borrow a carb from MM to install as I rebuild mine. Im interested in checking my MPG's (which still suck) with a different carb. I think he has a spare base but if not I will get back to you.
