They do have grab handles. Where else would you hang your plaid suit? I probably have a bunch of extras in the same box as the door lock hardware.

Sweet! That helps. I don't want my suit to get wrinkled. A proper car should have these, though I still baffles me why Germans put them in the driver position as well.
