Coincidently, there's a piece on Bruno Maggiora in the new October Auto Italia magazine and touches on the perhaps short lived success of the Barchetta - sadly the coupe and right hand drive versions never made it into production:

But even Bertone had a hand in the Barchetta production - on a visit to the Grugliasco factory in '97, there were Barchettas being painted in the water based spray line along with the Punto Cabrios being assembled at the time - note the 'b' on the operators overalls
