Summary of what happened this weekend at LeMons, Thunder Hill.
Saturday:
10:00 AM;
Driver Pel starts race
11:12 AM;
Radio dead
Transponder dead
Pel got nudged into a spin by #27, Red "Hot Rod" Porsche 944.
Pel in pits, re-fuel, re-positioned transponder, removed radio push to talk button. The wire broke, I fixed it with small tools, solder, soldering iron, heat-shrink tube and tape.. The fix worked OK until the end of the race..

Driver Chris in car.
11:45 AM;
Transponder still dead (NOT a happy camper upon hearing this).
Radio working again.. that temp fix worked.
1:28 PM;
Chris in for fuel & driver change.
adjusted tire pressures, too high.

Mike in car

Mike black flagged for contact. When Mike appeared at the penalty area, not one scratch was found on the car....
Re-fuel, adjusted tire pressures.
Put Pel in the car:
2:49 PM;
Pel in car until end of the day at 4:40PM.
Put the car in the tent, did all our post-race checks.. then din din with the team.

Mike out of car, refuel, adjust tire pressures.

Pel in... Cracked header... excessive oil in catch tank. Checked oil level and added about 1 qt.
Frantic brake pad change, re-fuel..
2:11 PM;
Mike in car...down on power...argggggg....!!!! about 10 seconds per lap slower....
3:46 PM;
Mike out of car, re-fuel. Hope the engine does not die...
3:51 PM;
Chris in car until the end..about 4:30 PM, cool down lap, drove the car onto the trailer...
Awards presentation... time to head home..
