1976 FIAT X1/9 - $2500 (Laguna Niguel)

I have a 1976 Fiat X1/9 for sale. It runs strong. Lot's of recent work and parts in this baby. It has 38,000 original miles and I am the second owner of the vehicle. It is a 4 speed manual. It passed smog with flying colors last year when I registered it. Tires are in great condition with the rears being almost brand new. The car is yellow and the targa top is removeable (very easily) and stores in the front hatch area. This is an awesome, fun, strong running vehicle. It is a head turner and I am constantly getting great comments on it. Feel free to ask questions.

I am pretty sure I took a look at this car a couple years ago here in St Louis. I know it sold, so it must have gone to Arkansas. The story I got was that this car had been converted to electric at one point and then back to the original 1300 later in its life.

There are just too many similarities for this to be another white 75. Note that the car I looked at was also white with black stripes. The inner frunk tub was rusted on both sides where the brake line tabs are welded on in the wheel well. The interior was really nice, but the heater/vent controls were missing.

There is a black panel covering the normal vinyl behind the seats and you can see a battery tray in the area where the spare should be. The heater hose isn't present in the spare well either, so this car may not even have a heater at this point since the controls are also missing.

The area behind the driver's seat was also cut out, so there was probably a battery in there too during its time as an electric. The VIN tag inside the driver's door jamb also appears to be missing in my pictures, so be sure to ask about it.

Just my humble opinion, but there is no way this is a $6K car.

Glad to help. I am sure you can find a 75 closer to home that is in better condition and probably cheaper too.
