A Giant in the world of computing passes away

I just read that Dennis Ritchie passed away this week. Sadly he probably is not well known to the general populace, but he was a huge force behind the creation of the underpinnings of just about everything we rely on today in the world of tech. His contributions to the C language and UNIX shaped modern computing.
