Abarth Stripes

Had to buff some cat paw prints out of the clear coat, and never one to leave well enough alone, I decided to remove the old school pinstripes and add a more modern touch:

I wonder how these would look on an X1/9?

What is the width of that stripe? I bet it would look good on an X1/9 too.

I'll double check, but I think it's around 3.5". Straight off the 500 Abarth.

I would seriously think about adding a red stripe on the "bumper" sides as well.

Mark Beautiful Scorp! Can you tell me anything about the front door qtr glass? Are they stock S2 glass? Also are the mirrors monte carlo mirrors or X1/9?

Hi Ralph - I made the quarter glass from Lexan and used X1/9 mirrors. A pretty common mod back in the Eighties and Nineties. Ed at Caribou actually sold a kit, so he gets the credit for the idea.

I think this is about as far as I would push it, but a flat black on the X that runs from the front to rear Faza flares would look pretty cool on my X.
