backfiring /sneezing weber DCNF

Off Idle stumble

What size chokes are you running? Too large and you can get the off idle hesitation.

Hi Martijn,

no, I have not heard of that problem with a DCNF-1500 and the CSC exhaust.
Also, it should not have much to do the the idle jets.
Your venturis are quite small for a 1500, so throttle response should be great.
Could your pump cams be too mild?

i had no problems before fitting the exhaust. So it must be related with it. I will check the gasket. maybe there's a leak somewhere or the synchronisation is off, although i checked that.

whats a pump cam? I run an pierburg elektronic fuel pump.

The 50 idle jet is the better choice. Carb Farts at light throttle is incorrect adjustment of idle mix.

The pump cams are on the side of the carb attached to the throttle shaft, they open the accelerator pumps that squirt extra gas when throttle is pressed. I think you can get different profiles as well as smaller pump jets.
Steve C. recommended I start with 26-28 chokes since on first start of our tuned 1500 I had off idle hesitation if the throttle was pressed too fast.

I bought some bigger carbs for my 1500 (weber DCNF 40) I'm gonna try those with a custom airbox (thanks brad). To see if 40er bring more power for my 1500
