True Classic
Went late Saturday and took some pics.. Didn't have time to walk the entire lot but plan on going back as a bidder in Vegas with the prices as soft as they were. A few pics of my buddy Rodney, a nice Fiat Multipla and a stag convertible. The Stag went for 7grand and the Multipla went for 40,000 ....Enjoy... JJ

Love that Multipla

I wish I could find one for a reasonable price. My wife said she would like a minivan. :)

Thanks for the pics JJ

Ferrari

That 360 Modena looked a little out of place, not even a CS and bad bling chromed wheels. Did you get what that one went for? Celebrity owned or something?

Jim, You'd regret it.

The X19 is a drivable, semi modern auto. Synchros in all gears, hydraulic clutch, fuel injection, air conditioning, leather seats, electric windows, etc. The 850 is fully one generation older, much less refined and fairly underpowered. The 600 series is another generation back, very under powered and lacking of any modern features. Granted the Multipla is incredibly efficient and has a lot of style appeal but it would need to be a garage queen.

I know you are right Bob

I know you are right Bob, but the Multipla is just so darn cool looking. :)

Give your wife the keys to the Multipla...

I would really be impressed if you stayed married after that.

NOTHING inflates a cars value then BJ Auction. I think its because people want to be seen buying whatever car for high dollar. The problem is everyone who has a multipla now thinks its worth 44 grand. How many times have yo uheard "I saw one at auction go for XXXX"

Yup... same thing happened a few years back with the Amphicar. One went at auction for a ridiculous $120k+ and now everyone with a rusty parts donor stuffed in their barn thinks they have a goldmine.

I actually met a guy in New Hampshire last summer that has two in his barn. He thinks he can retire now...

There has been a lot of discussion on SCM about BJ and the inflated price issues. For the first time I think however this year the no reserve has hurt a majority of the values of cars in this OC auction. I have a buddy that said if BJ had just stuck to the AZ and Florida auctions it would be fine but once they started branching out to Vegas and OC then it all went down hill...:pc:

Jeebus then...

I bet the loony down the road must think he's another Thurston Howell III then!
